June 2007 - Portland business attorney Brenda Meltebeke is among the city’s notable women honored by Profile Theatre in “A Celebration of the Uncommon Women of Portland.” The June 1 dinner saluted playwright Wendy Wasserstein, whose work is the focus of the theater’s 2006-2007 season, and recognized outstanding local women in business, law, politics, the arts and other community leadership roles.
“Wendy Wasserstein was a trail blazer, much like the women we honor tonight – each of whom has dedicated themselves to our community in such a wonderful variety of ways,” explained Jane Unger, Founding Artistic Director for Profile Theatre.
Brenda was noted for her legal work with emerging and entrepreneurial business as well as her support of Literary Arts, Inc., Oregon Entrepreneur’s Network, the Classic Wines Auction, the Software Association of Oregon and the Pacific Festival Ballet.
